Literature Text

Some adventure for the glory,
And others for the fun.

And it is all fun and games,
Until the wizard rolls a one.

What?
Nothing...

We adventure for the treasure,
And the paths that treasure brings.

The last few chests were mimics,
Or had sharpened knives on springs.

Did you say something?
I was just admiring the ingenuity of your lyrics...

The road is long and weary,
And we travel through the night.

The darkness hiding ambushes,
And far too often wights.

Are you messing with my song again!?
Who, me? Of course not...

We explore many a shadowed dungeon,
Without any fear of death.

You died by tooth, I died by claw,
And our rogue by acid breath.

What?
Just a muttered aside...

We're the best of traveling heroes,
And we're welcome at any inn.

If you fail your listen check one more time,
You'll be eating that mandolin!

I'm not failing any listen checks!
Of course you aren't. My mistake...

Yes, the road is fraught with peril,
But we've learned things through the miles.

Be very, very cautious,
When the dungeon master smiles.

What sort of nonsense are you speaking?
Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing...
14 Smile for the 100 theme challenge

The voices make a come back! I had so much fun writing this one. So much fun...

Why have I left this in the 'to be read' pile for so long?! It's awesome!
Mega thumbs up for the D&Dness of it all. :D
