13 Misfortune

Another broken mirror
Seven more years broken glass
Another broken mirror
And I'm looking for my past.

I'm looking for the turning
That began to turn awry
And I'm looking at my choices
And I'm asking myself why?

Why did I break that mirror?
Why did I cross that line?
Why did I borrow trouble?
What did I hope to find?

Why is my reflection
Not what I hope to see?
Why am I disappointed
The mirror shows only me?

Misfortune, it came knocking
And I guess I let it in
Breaking all those mirrors
In a failed attempt to win.

Another broken mirror
And I don't know what to do
Looking in these mirrors
